SUPPORT The Amazin’ Hazen by Wearing his Wristband

Our incredible community (the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and St. Malachy’s) paid for and produced these beautiful wristbands to spread the love and support of Amazin’ Hazen. The wristbands are really sharp and totally unique – Hazen chose the colors himself, which also symbolize the colors of children. One side is imprinted with" Hearts 4 Hazen" which signifies the community support and love - the 4 being Hazen’s age. The other side has "HK STRONG" which stands for both Hazen Kennedy and Hell’s Kitchen – a tribute to the boy and his New York City neighborhood – both tough as nails and intimately related.

Send an email with "Wristbands" in the Subject to words@amazinhazen.org if you would like one or more of Hazen’s wristbands.

100% of the proceeds go towards the cost of Hazen's medical treatment.

Wristbands made possible through the generous donations of: Dan Denihan- Affinia Hospitality
Scott Sternick - Mr. Biggs Bar and Grill
Tom Viola and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids

OTHER WAYS TO HELP

Pray and offer intentions/positive thoughts

Miracles DO happen but we as empowered human beings have to intend them. Please join us in partnering with Higher Powers to make the following outcome - The complete healing, total recovery of Hazen Kennedy with no evidence of disease and no recurrence of cancer ever returning to his healthy body.

Visualize the Future

See Hazen as a healthy boy and further growing into a fine adolescent. Visualize Hazen as a rambunctious teenager scrambling to make the morning bell, see his graduation from high school. Hazen vividly appears in our minds as an enthusiastic, active college student who straddles the fine line between youthful immaturity and adult responsibility.

Hazen will always be his own man (we told him this when he was less than 5-minutes old)- allow him to have a family of his own someday if he so chooses. Whatever path he takes as an adult, we are sure that his beautiful light will shine brightly and have a positive impact on his community.

Have No Fear

Our whole family loves to know that people stay involved with our lives. Some folks stay away because the subject of a child with cancer is so heavy-duty and difficult. This is true but …it is ok to ask us awkward questions or be uncomfortable in front of us - this is our life now so we can handle almost anything. Talk to us/stay in touch. Silence, avoidance is what hurts.

Blood

Nothing is more integral to life than this. Hazen requires blood (both blood and platelets) quite often during the course of treatment. Amazing but true, Hazen has had over 40 blood transfusions since November 18, 2004. All of these blood products have come from ourselves, our neighbors, co-workers and generous strangers.

WE ARE ALL LITERALLY A PART OF HAZEN

If you live in New York City, you can call Marion Novack at 212-639-8177 who is in charge of Hazen's own blood bank at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She will set up an appointment to donate (about 30 minutes). For those who live far away, you can donate blood locally in honor of Hazen which will still help by adding to the larger blood bank so there won't be any shortages.

THANK YOU ALL – LOVELY PEOPLE
